What we collect
Your email address, only if you type it into a signup form. That is the only personal information this site asks for. Nothing on the site requires an account, and you can read every page without giving us anything.
We also record which part of the page you signed up from, so we know which section people find useful. That is a label like "hero" or "footer" — not anything about you.
What we do with it
- Send you the weekly newsletter you asked for

We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers. There are no advertisers. Nobody pays us for anything, which is the entire point of the site.
Where it is stored
Addresses are stored in our database, hosted on Supabase, and sent to our email provider so the newsletter can be delivered. Each operates under its own privacy terms. Naming them is the point — "reputable third-party services" is the kind of phrase this site exists to be the opposite of.
Leaving
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. It works immediately. If you would rather your address were deleted entirely rather than just unsubscribed, email hello@whatsactuallyknown.com and we will remove it.
Tracking
No analytics, no advertising trackers, no tracking pixels, no cookies. The site sets nothing in your browser and does not know you were here.
One third party is involved: the site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers see your IP address when a page loads. That is the only external request any page makes. We would rather say so than let "no tracking" imply more than it does.
What this site is not
This is an educational reference built from public clinical trial registries. It is not medical advice, and no physician reviews these pages. We never ask for health information, and you should not send us any.
